Sovereignty of God is the Foundation of Man’s Hope in All Things Is His Understanding of This One Truth; For God is a SURE FOUNDATION
Good Morning Dear Brother! I pray Grace and Mercy be shared through your Loving heart today and remember in those moments where we see, “bad” things or “evil” things happening…..God is the Author of ALL reality, no matter the form it takes.
Isaiah 45:7 (KJV) 7 I form the light, and create darkness: I make peace, and create evil: I the LORD do all these things.
He decrees all, as ALL must rise from a Source and there IS ONLY ONE VOLITIONAL SOURCE through which ALL LIVING THINGS derive their volitions…..Almighty God. We are given a fallen soul and character of a dead spirit at birth ALONG WITH 100% MORAL RESPONSIBILITY. God has decreed ALL of our actions ACCORDING TO HIS PLAN for Righteousness. MAN on the other hand, with a Flesh body, perceives the world through fleshly sight, hearing, smell, taste and touch and makes decisions based in fear from not being EVER secure in his environment, for he cannot control it and KNOWS NOTHING or NO ONE (know or “yada” in Hebrew means a deep experiential awareness of someone or something) who can, as he is separated from God who is Spirit. The dead spirited man makes decisions based on what the FLESH desires in order to assuage the constant in his life…FEAR…. these thoughts, words and actions are derived from our “experiencing” the world through Fleshly “senses”. John 2:16 sums up the options which the dead spirit, subject to the compellation of the Flesh, has at hand in all things…
1 John 2:16 (KJV) 16 For all that is in the world, the lust of the flesh, and the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life, is not of the Father, but is of the world.
— Lust of the Flesh – Pleasure – Used to FORGET the FEAR
— Lust of the Eyes – Power – Used to falsely CONTROL the Fear through pseudo control of the environment.
— Pride of Life – Pride – Used to assuage the Fear by making him believe he is ABOVE it because he is ABOVE HIS FELLOW MAN IMMERSED IN FEAR.
There are who has moral responsibilities in EVERY action by man;
1-Man, under the decree of God, has 100% Moral Responsibility to OBEY HIS MORAL LAW FROM THE HEART. When man acts in a decision rising from the flesh senses and not spirit, he is acting in fear and thus WITHOUT FAITH which Rom 14 calls SIN. ANY action, thought, word without FAITH is SIN. Romans 14:23 (NASB) 23 But he who doubts is condemned if he eats, because his eating is not from faith; and whatever is not from faith is sin.
2. God’s Responsibility is in Decreeing ALL things. God decreed ALL THINGS to His Glory.
a. To the Glory of His Grace and Mercy, such as bearing with man and creating a path to reunion in Righteousness with Our Father through Our Substitute, His Son Jesus Christ, in the things we CANNOT accomplish as Fallen Beings…the suffering and death unto forgiveness of the Elect’s sins as well as the Glorious Completion of a Perfectly sinless and Moral Life on earth to be declared perfect in Righteousness by God unto an Eternal Righteousness granted to Him and thus the Elect, which Adam of course failed at in sin.
b. To the Glory of His Justice measured by the Standard of His Righteousness. He created the Reprobate and beared with them and still does, in Glory to His patient Mercy, but primarily to reveal that those who are trenchant and unrepentant in their hatred of God, which is ANY man or woman unregenerate, as I once was in my hatred of God (whether you want to say it or NOT), will pay the price of damnation. If God had not Justice revealed, the people who are His Children would have no hope in Him, for He would have no ability to bring retribution in Justice on those who crossed HIM as the STANDARD by which ALL THINGS are measured as Good or Evil, Alive or Dead, Joyful or Fearful, Hopeful or Lost.
When man acts “in the mind of Christ” it means he carries out the decreed thought, word or action post salvation which means by a “LIVING SPIRIT” i.e. he acts in the impetus of the Living Spirit of Christ given him at Regeneration. This type of action is alluded to by Jesus when He speaks of a man praying “IN MY NAME” and WHATEVER is asked for WILL BE GIVEN. What this means is that the person when praying according to the portion of Living Spirit granted him by Christ this gives him access to the mind of God or to desire, think, act, love etc for the SAME purposes and to the same ends as GOD/JESUS! So OF COURSE IT WILL BE GIVEN HIM as he is praying God’s will back to Him!
John 14:13 (KJV) 13 And whatsoever ye shall ask in my name, that will I do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son.
John 14:14 (KJV) 14 If ye shall ask any thing in my name, I will do it.
You see, we are not changed unto some nebulous “spirit” driven life….NO. We are given a portion of Christ’s Spirit and this imparts within us, the Lord’s CHARACTER and we see this Character described from man’s perspective in the Moral Law of God (Pentateuch/10 Commandments is summary) and summarized by Christ in…
Matthew 22:34-40 (NASB) 34 But when the Pharisees heard that Jesus had silenced the Sadducees, they gathered themselves together. 35 One of them, a lawyer, asked Him a question, testing Him, 36 “Teacher, which is the great commandment in the Law?” 37 And He said to him, ” ‘YOU SHALL LOVE THE LORD YOUR GOD WITH ALL YOUR HEART, AND WITH ALL YOUR SOUL, AND WITH ALL YOUR MIND.’ 38 “This is the great and foremost commandment. 39 “The second is like it, ‘YOU SHALL LOVE YOUR NEIGHBOR AS YOURSELF.’ 40 “On these two commandments depend the whole Law and the Prophets.”
Children, GOD IS SPIRIT. When the Predestined before time, the Elected unto Salvation, are given a portion of Christ’s Living Spirit, our LIFE BECOMES AN ETERNAL ONE. We are finally returned to the IMAGE OF GOD for God IS SPIRIT and we are returned to the station of Spiritual Life!!!! John 4:24 (NASB) 24 “God is spirit, and those who worship Him must worship in spirit and truth.”
So….When a saved man acts, he either acts Righteously, which means he is acting in accord with the Mind of Christ OR he acts from the Flesh and thus sin as we are NOT perfected yet. The unregenerate reprobate ALWAYS acts in sin. Now, the Righteous action by the Elect is counted as Righteousness before God in the MAN’s account and of course God’s decree of the action is ALWAYS Righteous; the sins of the men are counted as unrighteousness and sin BUT GOD USES THE ACTION AS A RIGHTEOUS GLORIFICATION OF HIS JUSTICE , GRACE and/or MERCY and is ALWAYS RIGHTEOUS.
Below in Isaiah 10:
1. The Assyrian King was used to punish rebellious Israel by God = RIGHTEOUS on God’s account.
2. The Assyrian King in his Reprobate heart did the action NOT FOR GOD’s PURPOSE but to satisfy his lust for, pride, pleasure, wealth, blood and power = SIN superimposed on the action by the king’s Heart of stone.
3. SO, every action has TWO volitional beings vested in its accomplishment* and their Heart’s desire in the accomplishment of the action gives the resulting judgment of their part in the action. The action apart from a volitional impetus means NOTHING, but an action (thought or word too) volitionally accomplished has responsibility attached to it. THAT is why ALL things have MEANING, because God decrees from the egg hatching to the pebble slipping which precipitates to an avalanche and ALL these things are for the GOOD of those imparted with a Living Spirit from the Christ and King of Creation, as this Living Spirit creates Fellowship with the King and the Father and the Spirit in Unified Purpose and thus Unified Righteousness when an Elect thinks, speaks and acts in accord with His new NATURE ….the very NATURE of God.
*a. God’s Heart
*b. Man’s Heart
Isaiah 10:1-34 (NASB) 1 Woe to those who enact evil statutes And to those who constantly record unjust decisions, 2 So as to deprive the needy of justice And rob the poor of My people of their rights, So that widows may be their spoil And that they may plunder the orphans. 3 Now what will you do in the day of punishment, And in the devastation which will come from afar? To whom will you flee for help? And where will you leave your wealth? 4 Nothing remains but to crouch among the captives Or fall among the slain. In spite of all this, His anger does not turn away And His hand is still stretched out. 5 Woe to Assyria, the rod of My anger And the staff in whose hands is My indignation, 6 I send it against a godless nation And commission it against the people of My fury To capture booty and to seize plunder, And to trample them down like mud in the streets. 7 Yet it does not so intend, Nor does it plan so in its heart, But rather it is its purpose to destroy And to cut off many nations. 8 For it says, “Are not my princes all kings? 9 “Is not Calno like Carchemish, Or Hamath like Arpad, Or Samaria like Damascus? 10 “As my hand has reached to the kingdoms of the idols, Whose graven images were greater than those of Jerusalem and Samaria, 11 Shall I not do to Jerusalem and her images Just as I have done to Samaria and her idols?” 12 So it will be that when the Lord has completed all His work on Mount Zion and on Jerusalem, He will say, “I will punish the fruit of the arrogant heart of the king of Assyria and the pomp of his haughtiness.” 13 For he has said, “By the power of my hand and by my wisdom I did this, For I have understanding; And I removed the boundaries of the peoples And plundered their treasures, And like a mighty man I brought down their inhabitants, 14 And my hand reached to the riches of the peoples like a nest, And as one gathers abandoned eggs, I gathered all the earth; And there was not one that flapped its wing or opened its beak or chirped.” 15 Is the axe to boast itself over the one who chops with it? Is the saw to exalt itself over the one who wields it? That would be like a club wielding those who lift it, Or like a rod lifting him who is not wood. 16 Therefore the Lord, the GOD of hosts, will send a wasting disease among his stout warriors; And under his glory a fire will be kindled like a burning flame. 17 And the light of Israel will become a fire and his Holy One a flame, And it will burn and devour his thorns and his briars in a single day. 18 And He will destroy the glory of his forest and of his fruitful garden, both soul and body, And it will be as when a sick man wastes away. 19 And the rest of the trees of his forest will be so small in number That a child could write them down. 20 Now in that day the remnant of Israel, and those of the house of Jacob who have escaped, will never again rely on the one who struck them, but will truly rely on the LORD, the Holy One of Israel. 21 A remnant will return, the remnant of Jacob, to the mighty God. 22 For though your people, O Israel, may be like the sand of the sea, Only a remnant within them will return; A destruction is determined, overflowing with righteousness. 23 For a complete destruction, one that is decreed, the Lord GOD of hosts will execute in the midst of the whole land. 24 Therefore thus says the Lord GOD of hosts, “O My people who dwell in Zion, do not fear the Assyrian who strikes you with the rod and lifts up his staff against you, the way Egypt did. 25 “For in a very little while My indignation against you will be spent and My anger will be directed to their destruction.” 26 The LORD of hosts will arouse a scourge against him like the slaughter of Midian at the rock of Oreb; and His staff will be over the sea and He will lift it up the way He did in Egypt. 27 So it will be in that day, that his burden will be removed from your shoulders and his yoke from your neck, and the yoke will be broken because of fatness. 28 He has come against Aiath, He has passed through Migron; At Michmash he deposited his baggage. 29 They have gone through the pass, saying, “Geba will be our lodging place.” Ramah is terrified, and Gibeah of Saul has fled away. 30 Cry aloud with your voice, O daughter of Gallim! Pay attention, Laishah and wretched Anathoth! 31 Madmenah has fled. The inhabitants of Gebim have sought refuge. 32 Yet today he will halt at Nob; He shakes his fist at the mountain of the daughter of Zion, the hill of Jerusalem. 33 Behold, the Lord, the GOD of hosts, will lop off the boughs with a terrible crash; Those also who are tall in stature will be cut down And those who are lofty will be abased. 34 He will cut down the thickets of the forest with an iron axe, And Lebanon will fall by the Mighty One.
